Mudita Sports have over 10 years experience running soccer camps in Japan and Asia for some of the world’s biggest teams including Manchester United and Celtic FC. Our camp coaches come from some of Europe’s biggest teams and our team of support staff help to translate this experience to fit Japanese culture so that all players can have a unique coaching experience from foreign coaches in Japan.

COACHING

The Mudita Sports camps aim to improve the physical, technical, tactical, psychological and social aspects of the players as a whole.

We teach players how to build up a range of movements and techniques related to in game play.  Coaching sessions have been designed to allow repetition of these fundamental actions in a fun and exciting way and to challenge and motivate players at all times.

Sessions are delivered to encourage the players to work together, to get to know each other and take ownership of how the session progresses, developing core skills to help them develop in and out of the game.

ENGLISH

Our camps use English as the language of instruction, giving players the authentic exposure to English style training and coaching culture.

 

All coaching sessions also have Japanese translation to ensure everybody understands the instructions. Our support staff will also enhance the English experience and ensure that players have a unique English experience in Japan.

SCHEDULE

A typical camp schedule consists of a combination of coaching sessions, classroom activities, player challenges and mini games.


There will be 6 coaching sessions during the camp as well as 3 classroom sessions where players are able to experience a variety of coaching and learning methods which will help them build up their skills and knowledge base.

FAQs

What are “Mudita Sports Soccer Camps”? “Mudita Sports Soccer Camps” are the official international soccer camps of Mudita Sports. Our aim is to provide players around the world with the opportunity to experience a variety of playing & coaching philosophies. Who are the coaches? Our camps are unique because we are able to bring in coaches from some of Europe’s biggest clubs (Manchester United, Manchester City, Celtic) that also have experience coaching in Japan. This gives players an opportunity to train in a variety of different ways. What is the age range? The age range is between 8-13 years old. When does the programme start? The camps are held in Summer 2024 in Japan. How can I join the programme? Book your place online to join the programme. What is the player/coach ratio? 10 players to 1 coach/interpreter. How are groups formed? The groups will initially be formed by age however some players may be moved to a different group to ensure they are playing with players at the same level. This will help provide the best experience for all participants. Maximum numbers per group will be 18. Do you offer accommodation? This is just a daytime camp. For those travelling from far away to take part in the camp, you will have to find your own accommodation. What is the cost of the programme? The cost is ¥50,000 per child. What is the insurance policy? All players at the camp are insured. Please see the Terms and Conditions for further information.

COACHES

Our camps are unique because we are able to bring in coaches with experience working at from some of Europe’s biggest clubs (Manchester United, Manchester City, Celtic) who have also had experience coaching in Japan. This gives players an opportunity to train in a variety of different ways with coaches with experience at different clubs. Our coaching sessions reflect this experience.

John Dyke
Coach

UEFA A License Qualified FA Psychology and a Sports Psychology Diploma Qualified United States Soccer Federation Coach Qualified Strength and Conditioning coach John joins us from Manchester City Football Group, where he held the position as the director of academy operations for Manchester City Soccer Academy in the USA. John has a wealth of experience in coach education with the City Group having worked in China with the Chinese National football association through their ministry of education. Most recently John has worked in the USA bringing the Manchester City philosophy and methodology to the coaching centres he has directed. John has been responsible for global talent identification both in the USA and China through a variety of programs Prior to joining Manchester City Group John worked at Manchester United serving as their soccer schools international project manager, overseeing their global educational courses for aspiring players. John has overseen the assessment and development of players for the programs with Manchester United soccer schools.

Jamie Fitzpatrick
Coach

UEFA A License Part 1 UEFA B License UEFA Youth Elite License FA Talent Identification Certificate Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) Instructor Jamie joins us from the Manchester City Football Group. In addition he has worked at Manchester United Academy within their youth programs. Jamie coached and oversaw coaches within the City Football program, managing the preparation, organisation and review of the coaching sessions as a lead coach both at national and international levels. Jamie will bring his extensive qualifications and experience to students, having worked in two English premier academies helping players reach their optimum potential. Jamie will work closely with the program director to give effective feedback to players through data collection points to enhance the development process of young players.

David Clements
Coach

UEFA A Intro Course UEFA B License Scottish Football Federation Children’s License Football Federation Australia Skills qualification BSc Hons Sports Coaching degree David currently works for Celtic Football Club where he works in their soccer academy department delivering Celtic’s coaching programme and coach education programmes. His work with Celtic has seen him work across the world in USA, Canada, Japan, Kuwait, Bermuda, Uganda and more. He is currently head coach of the U18 team at Stirling Albion Football Club where he has a recent record of developing players to progress into professional first team football. Prior to working with Celtic David previously worked in academy football for Rangers Football Club, Partick Thistle Football Club and Glasgow City FC. Having briefly lived in Japan before David has a strong understanding of Japanese football and the culture that surrounds it.

OUR TEAM

Our Support team of translators and teachers is highly experienced and have worked at various levels of coaching and education in UK, Japan and Asia.

Stephen Hemsley
Operations Director

Residing in Japan 33 years, with over 20 years experience coaching junior football, translating for camps involving Manchester United and Celtic FC as well as organising foreign football tours in various parts of Japan for many years. Also involved in various P.E./Educational camps utilising English as Second Language (ESL).

Translator

Coach and interpreter for Manchester United, Liverpool, Celtic and JFA. The FA Level 2, AFC/JFA B and The FA Futsal Level 1 qualified coach.

Kevin Scott
CEO

Over 25 years experience working with some of the world’s biggest clubs for soccer schools and education. Clubs include Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal and PSG. Kevin also created education programmes for JFA and J.league. Kevin has Advanced Teacher Status in UK which ranked him as one of the leading education specialists for English education in the UK.
